The Dragons experienced various highs and lows on the day. The match against Rose Tree was hard-fought through most of the first half until Noah Cordrey latched onto a through ball from Willie Fineberg at the 18 and deftly finished to give the Dragons a 1-nil lead at the break.
Shortly after played resumed, Shane Bradley, who was playing a more advance position on the pitch than usual, calmly tucked a right-footed shot in from close range to extend the lead.
Rose Tree pulled one back a few minutes later, however, to nudge the temperature of the contest upward, before Conor Bradley and Joe Ghisu struck to erase any doubt as to the winner.
