Despite a slow start, the Haverford Dragons left no doubt and found their form to finish top of the Delco Soccer League U-12 EPYSA 3 for the regular season today with a 2-1 win over visiting Saucon Valley.
The win ensures the Dragons will take top seed into the playoffs next week.
Saucon Valley started with energy and pace, belying their record and position at the bottom of the table.
With just one draw and the rest losses, Haverford may have been tempted to look past their opponent, but Saucon Valley showed that they were serious competition through the opening 30 minutes.
