Dragons Start Tournament Well, Score 3

The day had started promisingly for Haverford as they notched a 3-1 win in the opening match of the group against Swedesboro-Woolwich of New Jersey.

Guest player Wyatt Martin tallied two goals either side of halftime and Ryan Brown added another in the 40th minute. Swedesboro then got on the board in the 46th minute, denying the Dragons a clean sheet.

The second match for the Dragons was a solid team effort in which Haverford pressured the BYC Blast from the off and got the first goal and showed again that despite playing above their regular age group, they were more than equal to the task before them.

The U-13s were larger, and often more physical, but the Dragons used aggression and good ball movement to dominate the possession, especially against BYC.
