The Haverford Dragons will have a few weeks to revel in their title victory at the Battle at Hilltop Tournament hosted by West-Mont United Aug. 24., where they beat Mulenberg in the title match, 2-nil.
At Hilltop, the club put together a solid run through group play, with two wins and a draw. Danny Lyons was stellar in net, letting in just 1 goal. And he kept a clean sheet in the title game against Mulenberg.
All attention now shifts to the league.
In a change from previous years, Haverford will play only 8 matches instead of 11 they played in each of the two seasons prior to this.
The Dragons open on the road Sept. 13 against Methacton, a team which Haverford beat in the West-Mont Tournament.
The remaining fixtures are as follows:
Sept. 20 Lionville
Sept. 27 Radnor
Oct. 4 Octorara
Oct. 18 Spirit United
Oct. 25 Tredyffrin Easttown
Nov. 1 West Chester United
Nov. 8 Saucon Valley
