Nether's Ambition Yields Advantage

Nether, however, was able to open the scoring in the 12th minute when a ball crossed in from the right side found a Nether attacker at the far post, who tapped in from close range.

A minute later, they had doubled their advantage when a great run in from the left by a Nether attacker was finished with a fine, lofted shot.

Haverford kept working and produced a couple of chances late in the first half.

In the 28th minute it looked certain that the Dragons would pull one back as the Nether keeper failed to hold a great effort by Conor Higgins, only for the rebound to fall invitingly for Matthias Chernitsky
