Dragons' Narrow Win Ends Goal Drought

The Haverford Dragons overcame inhospitable conditions of rain and fierce wind to hold on for a narrow victory over Philadelphia Soccer Club today, 4-3, as the match was hanging in the balance right up to the death, providing plenty of tense moments.

The Dragons ran out to a 3-nil lead in the first 12 minutes, courtesy two goals from Matthias Chernitsky _ his first of the season _ and one by Noah Cordrey.

But PSC refused to go quietly and managed to tighten matters by putting in two of their own prior to the break.

The goal keeper rotation continued, as the Dragons looked for any security they could find in net, with Shane Bradley and Noah Cordrey taking turns in the first and second halves, respectively.
