PSC then clawed their way back into the match when they converted from the penalty spot in the 45th minute and cut the Dragons' lead to 4-3.
Haverford struggled on defense thereafter and nearly gave up the equalizer when a defender headed the ball behind himself and toward the goal. Fortunately for Haverford the ball sailed just wide of the post, as Cordrey could not have reached it.
A flurry of PSC pressure in the box continued right to the final whistle despite PSC being reduced to 10 players through injury.
However, Haverford maintained its composure and breathed a sigh of relief that they had halted their skid of losses.
