Dragons Edge In Front Through Spot Kick

The match had begun promisingly for the Dragons, as they showed initial disregard for Lionville's unbeaten start to the season.

In the 9th minute Conor Bradley's well-taken spot kick gave the Dragons the early lead, after a Lionville player had handled the ball in the box.

It was a start the Dragons had earned with their early pressure and ambition. And the play on which the penalty was called came during a series of sustained pressure by Haverford in which they won several corner kicks in succession.

The Dragons held onto the lead for most of the first half, but in the 25th minute Lionville was back on terms through a swarming play in which the ball was, somehow, poked into Haverford's net.
