With the score 2-1 at the break, the result was very much in the balance as play resumed.
The Dragons continued to look eager for goals, but the Gunners were playing aggressively and denying them quality scoring chances.
The Gunners looked to be weathering the storm of the Dragons' increased pressure, and got a bit of luck when their keeper just managed to get his fingers on a long-range effort by Cordrey, which then struck the bar and came back down without crossing the line.
Breathing space was provided by Noah Egelkamp mid-way through the second half when he received a nifty through ball on the right side and carried well before finishing with a fine, lofted shot which left the keeper stranded.
The Dragons were enjoying the majority of possession and the run of play, which resulted in a few corner kick opportunities.
On one, Conor Bradley swung the ball in from the left side, where the Gunners scrambled to clear. They managed to relieve the initial pressure in the box, but as the ball came just outside the 18 yard line, Ryan Kelley gathered it and fired in a low shot which eluded the keeper.
Fine defensive play at the back was keeping the Gunners from reducing the Dragons' lead. Kelley, Fineberg, Aidan Barber, Sean Kauffman and Joe Ghisu were tireless.
Danny Lyons, who made several key defensive stops, played strongly as the keeper in the first half before nearly tallying a goal of his own in the second.
As always, Ghisu proved a threat all over the park with great runs out of the back to lead the Dragons' attack, and smart play on the back line.
The Dragons completed the scoring as Cordrey latched on to a quality through ball near the right side of the box and dribbled in before depositing the ball in the near top corner.
