Equalizer Proves Elusive

The 1-1 scoreline at the break was justified, as the play was more or less even; chances were created but not converted for either team.

The second half was largely even as well, but Lionville was more industrious with the ball, particularly in winning the battle for it in the midfield.

And it was a play in which Lionville's aggressiveness in midfield won the ball which generated the winning goal.

In the closing moments of the match, Haverford had a golden opportunity with a free kick in an advanced position, but Conor Bradley's sliding attempt to reach the ball served into the box found the Lionville keeper rather than the net.
