The Lionville keeper came off his line initially to challenge, and he seemed to stymie Chernitsky, but the Haverford forward held his nerve and chipped a fine right-footed ball which caught the keeper off his line in the 35th minute.
It was Chernitsky's second goal in as many matches.
Lionville had gone from 1-nil up to 2-1 down in the span of five minutes, and the Lionville contingent's dismay was evident.
The chances remained somewhat even for the next 15 minutes or so, with Lionville getting better pressure on the Dragons' goal.
Lyons was steady in net, safely gathering up a corner in the 40th minute, and the back line sorted out its earlier communication troubles and stood united.
