The Haverford Dragons got their fall 2008 campaign of on the good foot with a 1-nil victory away to Methacton today, courtesy solid goal keeping from Danny Lyons and the goal-scoring instincts of Matthias Chernitsky.
The gritty match was even throughout, and Lyons, as well as his back line, will feel gratified with a clean sheet as they had plenty of work.
The Dragons' attack also put pressure on Methacton. Working both the right and left sides, Haverford was able to generate quality chances throughout the match.
